Simple, affordable, flexible
These are the most basic solution that Axiomatic offer. They are mounted on a wall, just inside of an entrance, ideally between waist and shoulder height.
They operate on the principle of a break-beam people counting system. The counter fires out an infrared beam across the path where people will be walking. When it detects the beam is broken (by a person walking past) it registers that as a count.
Beam counters are a basic, flexible, cost effective solution. We provide indoor variants that are mains powered, and we also provide a range of battery powered and IP54 rated weather-proof versions for outdoor use.

Accurate, centralised reporting
Compared with beam counters, overhead counters are a far more accurate way of counting people.
These people counting devices are placed on the ceiling just inside an entrance, looking down. They work by capturing detecting and tracking visitors as they pass underneath, through the tracking zone. As they pass back and forth, they are registered as in and out counts.
