Background

White Stuff had been using a footfall monitoring system across a small number of their sites prior to contacting Axiomatic.

They recognised that their system was out of date and if they wanted to make the most of the data they could be getting, an upgrade needed.

They got in touch with us, explained their requirements and requested a face to face meeting to discuss further.

First Steps and Pilot

Axiomatic’s Sylvia Hull and Derrick Williams from Sales Department and Installations Team met with them at their London head office.

We had a transparent discussion about Axiomatic’s company procedures and ethos, Axiomatic’s product range and what we could offer a retailer, as well as a discussion on the migration from their old system to our new one.

Encouraged by this meeting, White Stuff opted for a small scale trial of Axiomatic’s proposed solution, using the Irisys thermal people counter.

White Stuff provided Axiomatic with site plans and pictures where possible to allow for project planning and the installations were carried out by Axiomatic engineers.

Rollout and Expansion

Hailing the pilot a success, White Stuff gave the go ahead to begin an initial 10 store roll out of Axiomatic’s footfall counting system, including sites located in Germany and Denmark.

Installation

The installation process would use a mixture of approaches.

For some locations Axiomatic’s specialist installation technicians would so go site and install. In other locations White Stuff would use their own technical personnel, under guidance from Axiomatic, to install the sensor, an approach that continues successfully.

White Stuff have continued to work with Axiomatic, moving to the latest overhead counter technology as it develops.  They now use our Xovis 3D stereoscopic footfall counters and the installation of footfall counters is integral to the process of opening new stores.

With nearly 100 counters across the estate, the system continues to grow as White Stuff successfully open new stores across the UK and Europe.

Data and Support

White Stuff import their raw footfall information into their own databases, allowing for a flexible approach to performing their own analytics.

Our support team proactively monitor White Stuff’s system to perform continuous software updates and spot and resolve any issues that may arise.
