Axiomatic work with Space NK to provide accurate footfall data
Background
Space NK is a British retailer specialising in curating beauty brands and cosmetics. They have also expanded into the US and Europe.
First Steps
When they first approached Axiomatic, Space NK already had a footfall solution in place but were unhappy with the assoicated costs and the complexity of their system.
Following an initial conversation, Axiomatic team members from both sales and installations met with Space NK at their London head office to discuss their requirements in more detail and give a demonstration of Axiomatic’s solution
A key requirement for the system was that it should be unobtrusive and discreet, as they didn’t want the high-end feel of their outlets to be impacted.
Following this meeting, Axiomatic sent an engineer to a few of Space NK’s stores, to assess the environment and store infrastructure, and see what processes would be required.
From there, Space NK commissioned a trail of one of their London Stores, using the Irisys Gazelle thermal people counting device. Axiomatic recommended this device due to its high accuracy and and as it was ceiling mounted, it had a low visual impact.
The trial was deemed a success by Space NK, after which they gave the go-ahead to roll out Axiomatic’s solution across their wider estate.
In order to save on installation costs, Space NK expressed their preference to install each sensor themselves, using their own technical personnel.
This was not a problem for Axiomatic; our installations department provided guidance on elements such as optimum placement of each counter, and remotely calibrated each device after it had been physically installed.
This approach to self installing allows Space NK to expand their system as and when they need to, giving them the flexibility to suit their own schedule.
Space NK and Axiomatic have now worked together for a number of years and we continue to provide footfall counters and reporting for the company as well as supporting their installations in the UK and US. They now use the latest Xovis footfall counters as their preferred technology.
Axiomatic’s Support Department continues to actively monitor Space NK’s system to proactively tackle any issues, and perform continuous software updates.
