Nisbets approached Axiomatic in 2015 as they wanted a reliable footfall counting system for 8 stores, including a brand new site in Nottingham. Following conversations with the Axiomatic sales team, the system recommended was the Irisys Gazelle overhead thermal counter due to its high accuracy and reliability.
Conversations then took place between Nisbet’s IT department and the Axiomatic support team to discuss the technical aspects of an installation following which Axiomatic offered a trial as a proof of concept.
The pilot system was installed at the new Nottingham site to allow Nisbets the opportunity to try out the technology and see the benefits of footfall data. Straight away the team were able to utilise the information to analyse trends in customer flow to understand their quiet and busy times, conversion rates and make decisions about appropriate staffing levels.
Following the success of the pilot, 10 stores had footfall counters installed by Axiomatic engineers, which quickly increased to 20 sites and has continued as the estate has increased. To date Nisbets have rolled footfall counters out to 35 sites and are now in discussions with Axiomatic to expand the footfall counter system to their Australian portfolio of 10 stores.
Following the introduction of the Irisys Vector 4D, Nisbets upgraded to the latest Time of Flight technology for unrivalled accuracy.
Axiomatic provide a cloud hosting service for Nisbets for a seamless and convenient interface with no need to provide a server. They are provided with with raw data fed straight into their own business management systems for internal analysis.
